.My dog, ‘Schipdale Florence’, has qualified, as part of the Wilmslow small dog agility team, to compete in the small dog team competition in the main arena at Crufts 2011. The competition will start at 8.30am on the Saturday.
The main arena program should, like last year, be available to watch live via the crufts website.
congratulations Carolyn on getting to crufts. I have just retired my schip Rupert at the age of 14 as his eyesight finally let him down. Ittook ages to get him to compete as he had a switch off button half way riund a course. He did manage to reach a grade 3 at the age of 7 but although he got quite a few 2nds he never did manage a first in grade 3. I always put this down to living in the south as most of the shows have up to 100 smalls in grade 3. I’ll look forward to watching you at crufts and wish you good luck ion the future.
My wife also runs a schip Paddy who is 9 (10 in march) but his is quite slow due to having had leg perths disease when he was a pup and that resulted in him losing his right hip. He is a great sniffer in the ring and very fustrating to run but on the odd occasion runs fast and catches her out.
Good luck
Doug
