Judges Critique Southern Counties 2010

.Schipperkes

Thanks to the committee of Southern Counties & to exhibitors for making this a very enjoyable day. Some of the exhibits were obviously feeling the effects of the heat & on another day some of the placings would have been different. However, I was very pleased with my winners who kept showing to the end.

PD (2) 1 Bugg’s Komargo Dandy Warhol, 10 months cream, lovely head, good eye shape & excellent pigment, short in body, good tailset & carriage. Would like a little more leg to complete picture. Unsettled on move, but when moving was OK. BP; 2 Allington’s Rexford Coyote Kid, 10 months, but black. Smaller made than 1. Nice body shape, typical expression. Unhappy on table. Sharp brisk movement. JD (2) 1 Powell’s Bahram Hiawatha at Brookwell, black, top size, good coat, good tailset, excellent showman, made best of himself, steady mover, good head & expression, well set ears of correct shape & size; 2 Allington’s Rexford Voodoo Warrior, 10 months black whose size I liked. Throwing coat right now. Intensely lively & alert, moved well, lovely picture standing. Not confident being handled on table. PGD (0). LD (4) 1 Bayliss’ Karmajen Star Trooper, cream, took my eye immediately, excellent, masculine head, correct eye & ear shape, good pigment, short in body with correct leg length for balance, super outline, moved out steadily & didn’t stop showing. CC, his first; 2 Fellows’ Avidore History Maker at Blackshuck, tailed black, so much to like, as with 1 lovely body shape & moved out well, good head with nice eye shape. Ears could be little neater. Did consider for RCC, but looked a little immature. Sure his time will come; 3 Wilson’s Carozza Cream Casanova. OD (3) 1 Reed’s Byquy Polar Prince, cream with tail, beautiful head, correct eye & ear shape, excellent pigment. Would just like tad more leg length to finish picture. Moved out well with brisk stride & never lost alert expression. RCC; 2 Aylward & Burdett’s Ch Carozza Man On A Mission, cream & father to 1. Larger cast than 1 & little longer in back. Lovely head & expression, moved out well; 3 Powell’s Ch Monterrez I’ll Be Back at Brookwell. V (3,1) 1 Ticklebank’s Ch Nocte Boris Karloff, 9½ years, black male, long been a favourite of mine, built on very classic lines, good head & expression, moved out well; 2 Powell’s Ch Int Ir Ch Franhowil Frankie Boy, 12 years, black male, smaller built than 1 & not as positive on move. Typical head & expression, lovely outline in profile.

PB (3,1) 1 Fegan’s Carozza Justa Madam, 6 months black at first show, very immature & needs time to develop. Nice eye & earset with typical alert expression, moved out well with positive movement, remained attentive to handler throughout; 2 Allington’s Rexford Bootylicious, 10 months black, lovely body shape. Unsettled on move & also on table so difficult to assess. JB (1) 1 Tricklebank’s Nocte Elvira, black, good shape & balance, head & expression very typical, lots of attitude. Reluctant to move, but when she did what I saw was good. PGB (1) 1 Wilson’s Trijem Upper Class, black, lovely neat little bitch, feminine head & expression, excellent balanced profile, moved well in instalments. LB (3,1) 1 Wearing’s Aradet Party Politics, black, good well developed body shape & balance, nice expression with correct eye shape, movement OK; 2 Forknall’s Avidore Hot Gossip, black, like litter brother in LD looked a little immature against 1. Lovely head & expression, correct eye & ear shape, good body shape, moved out well. OB (7) 1 Forknall’s Avidore Fancy Pants, black, good construction & body shape, typical expression, required eye shape & earset. Gave handler lot of work, but when did settle moved out well & gave enough attention. CC, her third; 2 Tricklebank’s Ch Carozza Magdalena for Nocte, 7½ years black, lovely body shape, expressive eyes, good head, correct ear shape, steady on move. RCC; 3 Hart’s Ch Carozza Molly Malone with Ludwyn.
